
Macintosh FreePPP Setup Guide

First, you need to make sure that you have MacTCP or Open Transport installed on your computer. If neither MacTCP or Open Transport is installed on your computer consult your Apple documentation for instructions on installing the appropriate software.
If you don't already have FreePPP you can install the FreePPP software on your computer.
FreePPP Setup - Click once on the FreePPP icon in the upper right corner of your menu bar and select Open FreePPP Setup. The FreePPP Setup window will appear:

To create an account with 95Net, click the arrow on the lower left corner of the setup window to reveal the General, Accounts, and Options tabs.

Make sure that "Allow
applications to open..." and "Show alerts..." are both checked.
Click the Modem Setup button to configure your modem. Verify that the settings appear as below. Click OK when done.

In the FreePPP Setup window,
click on the Open TCP/IP button in the lower right corner of the General tab.
The Properties window will vary depending on which version of TCP/IP is loaded on the
system.
If you are using MacTCP, configure settings as shown below:

If you are using Open Transport TCP/IP, configure settings as shown below:

In Open Transport TCP/IP, click the Options button and verify that TCP is active.
Close the MacTCP or TCP/IP window to return to the FreePPP Setup window.
