  1. How do I save my password in the Windows95 Dialer?
The password save feature of Windows Dial-Up Networking does not always work correctly. To save your passwords, try one ( or all ) of the following-

    • Open the Control Panel and double click on Passwords. Click on the User Profiles tab and select "Users can customize their settings..." while making sure "Include desktop icons and network neighborhood..." is checked.
    • Open the Control Panel and double click on Network. Click Add and select Client. Click Add. Highlight Microsoft on the list on the left and double click on "Client for Microsoft Networks" on the right.
    • Double-click on My Computer and Dial-Up Networking. Right-click the 95Net icon and go to Properties. Click Server Type and check Log on to Network.
    • If none of the above work, you can use a 3rd party program, such as DUNCE, which will automatically enter your password for you.
  2. What are my local access numbers?
A list of all our local numbers can be found on our Access page.

  3. How can I check how many hours I've used?
Go to the following web site address http://users.95net.com/hours.htm Enter your User ID and the total number of access hours for your account in the current month will be displayed.

  4. Is there any incentive for referring a friend?
Of course! Every time you refer a new customer to 95Net, and they mention you by name, you will receive one month of credit, not to exceed the value of the referral's first monthly fee ( not including one-time setup fees ). There is no limit to the number of customers you can refer and the amount of credit you can receive.

  5. How can I automate the dial-up process in Windows?
The dial-up process can be automated such that you don't have to touch the dialer or type in your passwords for both Windows 3.1 and 95.

    • If you are using Trumpet Winsock for Windows 3.1, click on Dialer and go to Options. Select Log-In and Log-Out on Demand. Double-clicking on any program requiring Internet access will automatically call Trumpet to dial-out.
    • If you are using Windows95, you can download free software to automate the process. Dial-Up Networking Connection Enhancements-This is an excellent program that allows hands free dial-up and can also pre-program timed connections, such as hourly mail checks.
  6. Do I get space for a personal home page?
All Unlimited Analog and all ISDN accounts includes 2MB of free personal web space for your own home pages. If you are not familiar with HTML, that is enough space for 10-20 pages worth of information and images.  To set one up, contact the 95Net office, and we will set aside the space for you and tell you where to upload your web page files.
