  1. Error Message: "Internet Explorer / Netscape Navigator cannot find the site requested.  Server does not have a DNS entry."

  2. Error Message: "Dial-Up Networking could not negotiate a compatible set of network protocols that you specified in the server type settings..."

  3. The User ID and Password logon screen repeatedly appears on screen and will not establish a connection.

  4. My modem does not dial out automatically when I double-click on the Netscape or Internet icon.

  5. I forgot my password. How do I get it?

  6. Error: There is no dial-tone.

  7. Error Message: "The computer is not receiving a response from the modem.  Please check cabling and connection and re-try"

  8. Error Message: "Dial-Up Networking could not find the modem specified."

  9. "You have been disconnected from the remote computer" message pops up on screen and I lose my connection.

  10. The message "Line is busy, try again later" appears on screen.

  11. I can hear from the modem the following message "All circuits are busy now, will you please try your call again later"

  12. I type in a website address and I get the message "Error 404: File Not Found"

  13. After my modem dials out, I hear a message stating that the number is not in service or has been disconnected.

  14. As soon as my modem connects, I get an error message that I have been disconnected.

  15. Why can't I get the maximum speed of my modem?  I have a 33,600bps modem, but I only get 28.8Kbps at best.

  16. I'm using a US Robotics Sportster modem and can connect to 95Net just fine.  Shortly after however, the connection gets slower and eventually dies.

  17. How can I get the full 56K speed?

  18. I signed up for a 56K account, but I can't get beyond a 33.6K connection.

  19. Is there any way to automate the dial-up connection, so I don't have to click Connect every time?
